Biography Project

Here are the topics you must include in your biography:

Name of your Person: Gary Paulsen.

Date and Place of Birth:  Minnesota May 17, 1939. 

Paragraph describing your person: Most of Gary's work is about the outdoor survival and nature. It always has a person in it that has to give into his/her outdoor nature spirit to survive. He's an American writer. He creates several magazines, stories, & plays for young adults.  

Person’s Accomplishments: One of his interesting accomplishments was making 200 BOOKS!!! Most are now out of print.  

What specific fact or event in this person’s life was most interesting to you?: What is really impressive to me is that he made a book called "Some Ugly Birds Don't Cry". In that he used his own life experiences.

Person’s personal strengths & weaknesses: Unknown.

Major obstacles, failures and triumphs: He became a wonderful writer. In my opinion,  he's DA BOMB!

Historical events of the period in which the person lived and how it influenced him/her positively or negatively. (i.e. war, oppression, economic hardship, societal views & values – gender or racial bias): In his lifetime he goes into the wilderness & uses the expierences in his very own published books.
